EBB Music has built a strong reputation through its extensive network of clubs, festivals, and cultural institutions across Europe, and for its thoughtful approach in supporting artists’ unique musical visions. Through this partnership, we look forward to expanding our opportunities to bring the spiritual/modal jazz sound of our album Fukushima to wider audiences through live performances.

— about SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP The group was formed by Sinsuke Fujieda, a saxophonist and flutist, based on jazz music but incorporating various genres. The group consists of Shinichi Tsukamoto on piano, who also plays with TRIAL PRODUCTION and Yant Izes. The violinist is Fumiko Takeshita of no.9 orchestra, piano&violin duo and kanako. On bass, Shu Kato from his own group and echostics. Masanao Matsushita, who plays in Yasei Collective and Gentle Forest Jazz Band, plays drums. Daisuke Alkhaly, an African percussionist who also plays in ROOTSTRIBE DUB SEPTET, plays percussion. The live recording album (2CD) and the DVD (DVD) are the complete version of “Gentle Erosion”, which Fujieda directed. The album, entitled Unformel, combines Fujieda’s grandiose and painterly compositions with the members’ varied tonal improvisations to create a sometimes primitive, sometimes dramatic ensemble. The sound of ethnic overtones such as harmonic flute, bamboo clarinet, khoomei, etc. and the drone created by the effectors add a unique depth and three-dimensionality to the music. SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP is going to release a live recording album “Informel” on April 21.
The first live performance after the release will be held at NO ROOM FOR SQUARES in Shimokitazawa on Saturday, May 1.
Shinichi Tsukamoto on piano, Fumiko Takeshita on violin, Shigeru Kato on bass, Daisuke Arakari on percussion.
We will welcome Masaki Nagata, who has performed with Zainichi Funk and ROOTSTRIBE DUB SEPTET, as drums.
